Daisy Chain Children’s Nursery is committed to providing exemplary standards of care and education that support children in their holistic well-being. Individuality is consistently embraced as the opportunities provided are done so as a result of formative assessment. Learning styles, choices and interests are observed and the necessary accommodations made; thus maximising the learning potential for your children and nurturing their unique persona.
Daisy Chain is jointly owned by Amanda and Ian Donkin. Blaby was purchased in April 2009 and Wigston in February 2012.
Amanda ~ Senior Manager
Amanda has over 30 years experience and is qualified to degree level. Amanda has managed early years settings for over 29 years and passionately leads the Daisy Chain team of 38 colleagues. Daisy Chain is a family run business. Jade, Amanda’s daughter is Assistant Manager at the Whetstone nursery, Jade has recently graduated with her foundation degree and is now studying her BA in education studies. Ian, Amanda’s husband a bricklayer by trade, spends his days being nagged by Amanda as he maintains our nurseries to Outstanding standards.

Daisy Chain Blaby
Our Blaby nursery operates from converted premises within rural Blaby.
We were delighted to be graded 'Outstanding' for the third time in August 2022; the full report is available here. Other quality assurance includes our 5 stars with environmental health.
Blaby Manager
Natalie has managed Blaby since 2011 and continues to take Daisy Chain from strength to strength. Natalie has a wealth of experience within early years and is qualified to degree level.

Daisy Chain Wigston
Our Wigston site operates from converted premises and caters for a maximum of 72 children.

Wigston Manager
Rachel has managed Daisy Chain since 2012 and has succeeded Outstanding Ofsted reports on all occasions. Rachel has worked at this setting for over 21 years as she managed for the previous owners.

Daisy Chain Whetstone
The nursery will cater for 36 children and is situated in the heart of the Whetstone village.
Whetstone Manager
Jade, our manager at Whetstone has worked at Daisy Chain since 2018 and is working towards the completion of her BA honours in education studies.
About Jade
Jade holds both her level 2 and 3 in childcare, as well as her foundation degree. Jade is our eco-lead and runs our social media for all three nurseries.
